I wrote some lyrics. I drew them. The creature is an a different layer than the background, keeping with my illustration style. Pencils, micron pens.
This way a very quick assignment we had to do. Take an ancient Greek statue (in the case, Spear Bearer by Polykleitos), and draw in their entire, basic skeleton. Kind of a challenge to measure and make anatomically correct, but I think it came out well. Pencils, pens, white and black colored pencils.
The last big piece I’ve done for a a few weeks. We had to make a piece based on a dream we had, and since I had already done a piece based on my much more vivid and recent dream (Larvae Hatching On A Serpentine Web Of Excrement), I decided to use an older, hazier dream. It simply entailed being chased through what was seemingly the streets of London by the blue pure-energy lifeform depicted, until I meet my demise by it’s hand (or blade, in this situation). Pencils, watercolor, inks. The hand on the left is on a seperate piece of board that I pasted on, and all the colored paper is under the original board, giving a good sense of depth when the piece is seen in real life.
A skeletal view of my own arm, just a study of where every bone should go. Came out better than I expected, and still pretty anatomically correct, but feel free to correct me. My arm was in that pose, and I just matched up a drawing of a skeleton hand with it. Pencils, white and black colored pencils.
My midterm. An ancient civilization, ruined by time, stumbled upon by modern day people. Didn’t come out as well as I’d hoped, though. Pencils, pen, colored pencils.
How to Release The Kraken. Various colored inks, the paper was dabbed and soaked in black tea, then burned at the edges.
Dreams Of Dimensions Interweaving. One of my few personal pieces with color, but I feel it worked. Pencils, pens, markers, colored pencils. Responses?
For the past two or three months, I’ve been in a suffocating environment. The last two weeks have brought upon visions and contemplations on the universe, the role of life in it, and my connection to everything within the ever-expanding reaches of the galaxies. Recently, I’ve finally reached a small revelation, and have since been in a state of synchronization with all of matter and life. Who knows if this has anything to do with this drawing. Pencils, pens, and Sharpie marker. Approximately five hours.
I had a dream I was in my room, and that I snake that I apparently owned escape from it’s tank. It slithered around my room, weaving a web, covered in excrement. I was backed into the corner, surrounded by suffocated flies and other victims of the web. A single egg was directly in front of me, and the pictured creature proceeded to hatch, eating the shell. “Larvae Hatching On A Serpentine Web Of Excrement”. Pencils and micron pen, with dabs of black paint.
